📄 Description

You're running a booth, a training session or a retail activation with several VR headsets, and each participant ends up watching their own content at their own pace. There's no way to start a group session together, no way to tell who's at what stage, and every headset you need to recharge or reconfigure eats into your time between visitors.

Synchronizing several VR headsets without losing your whole day to it

Manually loading a video onto each headset, one by one, before every session simply doesn't scale past two or three devices. And without a central control tool, you can't start an experience at the same time for a whole group, which breaks the collective effect you're after at an event or training session.

VR Sync solves this with a single dashboard: drag and drop your 360° content and it's pushed automatically and wirelessly to every connected headset. One button then launches playback synchronized to within 100 milliseconds across the whole group, or across sub-groups if you'd rather run several pieces of content in parallel.

Staying in control once headsets are on people's heads

Once a headset is on and the controller set aside, you lose all visibility: is the video actually playing, is the battery holding up, has a device dropped off the network? Over a multi-hour event with dozens of visitors, that uncertainty costs you time and credibility in front of an audience.

From the VR Sync dashboard, you can watch live what's being shown on each headset, check battery levels device by device, and manage playlists with automatic looping. You can also customize the waiting room shown between pieces of content with your own logo and background, and send messages directly into a user's headset.

Keeping things running even on a site without reliable connectivity

Trade shows, outdoor events, workshop-based training: the wifi available on site is rarely good enough for synchronized playback, and a network drop in the middle of a group session is hard to recover from in front of an audience.

The VR Sync Box add-on turns this into a non-issue: it's a box that creates its own local network, no internet required, just a power outlet. Depending on your group size, versions are available supporting 50 to 300 simultaneous users, expandable with extra access points.

Who is this for?

VR Sync is built for organizations running VR experiences for several people at once: group professional training, demos at trade shows and events, retail activations, or educational sessions where a whole class needs to watch the same content at the same time. It's designed for intensive, repeated use, with several headsets to manage day to day rather than occasional individual use.

If your need is limited to a single headset in standalone mode, with no requirement to synchronize between several devices (for example an isolated welcome kiosk), the Look & Play software may be enough: it offers simple gaze-triggered playback with a kiosk mode, but no centralized control or multi-headset synchronization. If your priority is streaming and individual supervision of training sessions rather than synchronized group playback, take a look at our OmnicastVR software instead. VR Sync remains the reference whenever you need to coordinate several headsets in simultaneous playback from a single control station.
