Enhance your productivity with comfort

With the Quest Pro, Meta has launched a new range of XR headphones dedicated to the business world (Professional users, developers and companies). At Komete XR, we're going to look at comfort, practicality and how to improve them?

Ergonomics and comfort?

The Quest Pro's wearing comfort is between good and mediocre, with a tendency towards the mediocre. Meta has designed a rigid, non-interchangeable halo head support with a front pad above the visor, similar to that of the Playstation VR.

At the back of the head is a bracket similar to the Elite Strap for the Quest 2, but with no gap and made of soft rubber.

While the rear head mount, which also houses the battery, works perfectly for, the front pad is very narrow and not very well padded.

As the Quest Pro has no other front attachment points, the pressure on the forehead is so great, not least because of the weight (a kilo and a half more than the Quest 2 despite its slimmer shape) that it becomes uncomfortable after an hour at most, and leaves pressure marks.

Blocking the light for VR mode?

The eyeglass frames fit easily under the XR headset, which is open at the sides and bottom. If you want to focus on virtual reality, you can add light blockers on the right and left, which work surprisingly well. A full face seal blocking all external light is not yet available, but will be launched soon.

More optimisations and accessorising to come

Meta's new mixed reality headset has just been released, but we're already working on the next generation of Meta Quest Pro compatible add-ons to optimise your working experience.
